London Stansted Airport

London Stansted Airport offers a quick, convenient option for flights to and from London. There is an excellent choice of VIP terminals and less aviation traffic than is found at some of the other London Airports. We regularly fly from this airport for business and private jet charters.

Stansted Airport is just a 30 minute drive from Canary Wharf

For larger private and executive jets, Stansted airport is the most convenient option for the financial district of Canary Wharf. Just a 30 minute drive down the M11 puts you in the heart of this district.

Convenient and quick trains run directly from Stansted to London Liverpool Street station, providing the best option for customers looking to travel to the City or West End. Direct services to Birmingham New Street are also available.

If you are looking for the fastest and most convenient route into the centre of the city though, then helicopter transfers are available to both London Battersea or Vanguard Heliports. You will walk straight from your private jet onto the waiting helicopter and the flight into London will take just 15 minutes.

Business jets of all shapes and sizes are welcome

With its 10,000ft runway London Stansted is able to cater to private and business jets of all sizes, right up to and including the Airbus A380 and Boeing 747.

The airport also boasts some of the best FBO facilities of any London airport. Harrods Aviation, Fayair, Universal, Diamond Hangar and Inflite all offer VIP passenger and aircraft handling for both incoming and outbound flights.

The airport played a big role in the Second World War

Stansted Airport opened in 1943, in the midst of the Second World War. It was used by both the Royal Air Force and the United States Airforce as a bomber base and military depot. Shortly after the end of hostilities, in 1949, the airport came under the control of the Ministry of Civil Aviation. From that point Stansted has grown in size and stature to become London’s third largest airport, behind Heathrow and Gatwick.

A major redevelopment program has been undertaken in recent years and Stansted can now lay claim to being London’s newest terminal building and some of it’s finest facilties.

London Stansted Opening Hours

The airport is open 24 hours a day, 365 days a year although there are restrictions to operations during the hours of 0600 to 2300.
