Spring escapes by private travel
The mornings are lighter, the evening’s lasting longer and the temperatures are on the rise. Spring is here and this weekend the clocks go forward to mark the start of the new season. Be inspired by our selection of spring escapes and call the team at Bespoke Air Charter to arrange your private jet charter.
Fresh snow and warm temperatures
This week saw fresh snow across much of the Alps and the end of season conditions promise to be a well worth a visit to your favourite ski resort. Travel to the higher resorts, or those with glacier skiing on offer, and you can enjoy the warmer temperatures while still guaranteeing quality snow. Pistes tend to be quieter, queues shorter and restaurants less crowded at this time of year.
Charter a private jet, avoid the airport queues and maximise your time on the slopes.
Jet off to still warmer climes
At this time of year Morocco offers a wonderful climate. Warm, dry and sunny days abound but make sure you take something to wrap up with as the temperatures can still get a little chilly in the evening.
The coastal town of Essaouira still retains much of it’s old world charm. A mecca for wind surfers, the fortified old town and the busy fishing harbour offer visitors a more relaxed pace than the busy capital of Marrakesh. Spend your days exploring the narrow alleyways and craft stalls of the old town and while away the evenings enjoying the beautiful sunsets and exotic fusion of French and Moroccan cuisine on offer.
If it is more hustle and bustle that you are after then the vibrant, cosmopolitan city of Marrakesh may be more to your taste. Stay in a beautiful riad, close to the old souk and benefit from an oasis of calm amidst the clamour and spectacle of the Djemaa el-Fna, the central market place.
Beautiful gardens and spring flowers
The Keukenhof gardens, near Amsterdam, are known as the Garden of Europe and are the second largest in the world. The gardens are spread over 32 hectares and every year over 7 million bulbs are planted. The Keukenhof is only open for 8 weeks of the year, from mid March to mid May, and visitors during that period are treated to the riot of colour that over 800 varieties of tulip can offer.
Combine your visit to Keukenhof with a couple of nights in Amsterdam, the home of canals and coffee shops. And of course the world class art museums – among them the Rijksmuseum, the Stedelijk museum of modern art and the Van Gogh Museum.
